This is a private condominium, with numerous other residential units. There are no shared amenities for the building, only shared common areas that include the lobby and the stairwells. Our enchanting historic building was also constructed in the 1920’s and has many original features—with that, it lacks some of the insulation that we are used to today. This means that you may hear neighbors above or beside you occasionally. You might also hear cars drive by outside. To reduce any noises for lighter sleepers, we have an industrial fan and also provide ear plugs/eye masks during your stay.

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Elizabeth City vacation home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in Elizabeth City. Booking in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Elizabeth City vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Elizabeth City area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting the perfect rental home in the Elizabeth City area:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Historic Condo in the Heart of Downtown Elizabeth City has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Elizabeth City vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- If there's a particular Elizabeth City destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
